Summer Activities and/or Links
The key to keeping your child from sliding in their reading skills this summer is to continue to have them read some each day.  Even if it is for only 10-15 minutes.

It is also important to have your child write during the summer.  They can write about the day's activities or an event from the day.  Or something that happened that was special for the week.  You can fix a quick, homemade writing journal and have them write (using capital letters where appropriate and punctuation) periodically during the summer.
