Hello!
My name is Mrs. Golden and I am the Family and Consumer teacher and FCCLA advisor here at Meadow Heights School! I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Cape Girardeau, Mo. I graduated from SEMO with a Family and Consumer Sciences Education degree in 2003. I have been teaching at MHS since 2016; however, my husband and I have been living in the district since 2003 (you may have seen us around Patton or Sedgewickville). Our daughter’s name is Calie, and is a student here at Meadow Heights School. As a family, we enjoy being outdoors! We like to hike, ride 4-wheelers, and fish. My husband loves to hunt and I love to do anything crafty! I also love to teach!!!!
In my classes, we do a lot of hands on activities, projects, and “real-life” simulations! I know that students learn best by actually being able to do a task instead of just being told about it. I try to allow plenty of in class time to complete these tasks because I realize that students have plenty of homework in their core classes. I try not to add to it! We have a lot of material to cover. This will require a lot of work on both sides. I expect all of my students to work at their full potential and follow my classroom rules: Be Prompt, Be Prepared, Be Productive, Be Positive, & Be Polite.
Please take the time to let me know if there is anything that I can do to help your son or daughter learn. Feel free to contact me at [email protected] or 866-2924. I really do care and want the best for all of my students.
Sincerely,
Wendy Golden
